I currently live in Brighton, Michigan with my lovely wife, Andrea, our five remarkable children and one large dog.

I have been a leader of non-profit organizations since 1994. More than a web designer or email specialist, I am a communicator and a problem solver.

Back In the Day

I completed my undergraduate work between 1987 and 1991 at the University of Michigan (BA English ’91) where we won a national championship in basketball in 1989 (I attended all the games).

Beginning in 1994 I directed the Christian Campus House at Trine University where I was responsible for all development, marketing and ministry. Working on a small campus was far more rewarding than I could have imagined.

Returning to Ann Arbor in 2001 I assumed the role of associate pastor with a non-denominational church, Hope Christian Fellowship. I was responsible for all special events and seminars, pastoral care of younger families, and the oversight of all worship services.

More Recently

Upon becoming the lead pastor in 2005 and staying through 2009, I developed a new church communication strategy, which included the church’s web site and email campaigns. I also developed series of messages and spoke weekly.

Working as a freelance marketer since 2007 has given me the opportunity to sharpen my design skills, both in web and in print, dive deep into email marketing, manage a few marketing accounts for larger firms, and even spend several weeks doing live radio.

Of course all this work experience would mean nothing without the fantastic relationships I’ve enjoyed along the way.
